These are some of the images that stood out to me
from the new issue of KING, which I picked up today.
Don't get me wrong, this is not a bad issue by any
means, but I still think these editors need to take a
little more initiative to start choosing marquee
models for these magazines instead of "who's hot now"
chicks (excepting Dollicia in this issue). The urban
eye candy genre needs a new top model to attract
advertising dollars and new talent to the game. It
needs a new Melyssa Ford prototype - a Jayne Kennedy
for today.
That's why I was interested in rebuilding Sabrina
Hunter's image. She has the smarts and
maturity to take the lead and handle the type of
opportunities that came Melyssa's way. These
club chicks with their tramp-stamps and booty
shaking cam phone videos cannot handle a Sprint
commercial. They're not flaship material and
most importantly, they don't make other
quality girls aspire to be in the industry.
Just food for thought. (Click to enlarge - the
last mode is Skye Marshall)
This is half of the FB Legacy (Fubu's
Relaunch Brand) and Hip-Hop Weekly "Flawless
Beauties" calendar. Bria Myles and Tahiry are in
it, as well as Sophia Marie and a few others,
including Chanice, who hasn't done anything in a
while, and Tammy Torres. (Click to enlarge

Jenna Shea is in Black
Lingerie #12 and featured on the cover. There's
nothing better than watching a model slowly
improve, and Jenna has definitely done that.
This is possibly her best set with SHOW yet.

Despite considerable user error (focus) in this set,
I still like the look of some of these Suelyn pics.

This is the type of pic I'd like to put my name on.

Okay, so the video of Ali Milan answers some burning
questions about her figure. I would say that for the
most part, she's straight! And this girl has one of
the cutest faces around - I love models that look
like cartoons. Oh, and for the record, the videos
do look slightly better on SHOW's website, so you should
check them out if you really like a model and
wanna see her in hi def.
Without a doubt Mal Malloy
is one of the most notable women I've posted on
my blog. I could recount the reasons she became
so popular so fast, but we've all dissected the
Mal Malloy phenomenon ad nauseum. Instead I
thought I'd just post a little reminder of why
she's one of the greats.
A note about the red dress pic - Mal has picked up
about 10 lbs since she first debuted here (to some of
our delight!) That pic reflects that weight gain.
Unfortunately, there aren't many pics of her at her
new weight. Hopefully we'll get some video soon
though. Reach her on Facebook here (it's her real
Facebook).
I post Ali Milan's photos with the caveat that
I've always been a little suspicious of her pics. And
I'm not alone: in many of her posts on message boards
there is speculation about plastic surgery and
Photoshop assistance. It's clear that some of her
earlier stuff was heavily retouched with regard to
"enhancing" her curves. Notwithstanding that, she's
still got a very appealing look and she's undeniably
sexy. Of interest is the fact that her Myspace, Model
Mayhem, and Twitter page seem to have up and
disappeared recently. There's a lot of that these
days in the urban industry. Maybe she'll post
something in the comments section and let us know why
she disappeared.

Continuing in my pattern of dabbling in
commercial actresses, I bring you Simone Cook. Do a little
search for Nationwide Insurance's "Vanishing
Deductible" commercial and you'll find that
Simone has a quite a following. The only problem
is, no one knew her name. Thanks to a few of my
homies on ASR, that little mystery has been
solved (there's no mystery they can't solve,
lol)
